NHS AND COUNCIL WORKERS FORM BLOSM TO SUPPORT PEOPLE IN FINDING SHELTER AS CONDITIONS HAVE LED TO SEVERE WEATHER EMERGENCY PROTOCOLS BEING PUT IN PLACE
ROUGH sleepers in Huddersfield are being helped by a team of workers to access shelter during the cold snap.
NHS workers and Kirklees Council colleagues have been working together to contact people who sleep rough in central Huddersfield. Seven rough sleepers were identified by the team which is called BLOSM, which stands for Bridging the gap, Leading a change in culture, Overcoming adversity, Supporting vulnerable people, and Motivating independence and confidence.
