CHEMICAL Warfare can continue his progression with victory in the Norfolk National Handicap Chase at Fakenham.
The David Pipe-trained bay will have to carry top-weight in the extended three-and-a-half-mile contest, but has earned it with an impressive run of form.
The eight-year-old has seen his official rating shoot up to an all-time high of 120 thanks to eight victories in his last 12 starts over hurdles and fences combined.
He was value for more than the winning margin of half a length at Sedgefield last month and a 5lb rise for that most recent win does not look insurmountable.
Le Milos can help Dan Skelton to move on from his near-miss in the trainers’ championship with victory in the David Keith Memorial Veterans’ Handicap Chase.
