VILLAGERS BELIEVE MOVE TO BUILD 100 HOUSES WOULD DESTROY AREA

VILLAGERS fear their local area will be destroyed as plans for more than 100 homes are brought to light.

The site in question, referred to as land at Eastfield, Shepley, has been earmarked for up to 110 properties.

Developer, Banks Group Ltd has applied for outline planning permission at this stage, meaning that further consents will need to be obtained before the development comes to fruition.

The Design and Access Statement on behalf of the applicant explains that the vision is to construct a neighbourhood within an “extensive network of green space”.
