Grant rues 'incredible bad luck' on injuries

HUDDERSFIELD Town boss Lee Grant says his side are in an “incredible phase of bad luck” as their injury issues continue to mount.

The Terriers had 12 players sidelined through injury for Tuesday's EFL Trophy victory over Mansfield Town, with Alfie May and Joe Low having been added to the already extensive list.

Antony Evans, Marcus McGuane, Herbie Kane, Jack Whatmough, Will Alves, Zepiqueno Redmond, Murray Wallace, David Kasumu, Leo Castledine and Lynden Gooch were all unavailable in midweek, and reflecting on the situation, Grant told BBC Radio Leeds following Tuesday's win: “We're doing the count at the moment, and it’s about 12 or 13 senior players, which isn’t enough to fill a team and bench, so it’s all hands to the pump.
