Wiredu has revealed how experienced Plymouth Argyle midfielder Joe Ralls is always ready to help him out with advice.Ralls is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury in the 1-0 League One win against Luton Town at Home Park last Saturday.

That led to Wiredu taking over his place in central midfield alongside Malachi Boateng when the Pilgrims drew 1-1 at home to Mansfield Town on Tuesday night.

Even though Ralls faces three to four weeks out of action for Argyle, Wiredu believes the 32-year-old former Cardiff City captain can still be a strong influence on the team.

Wiredu said: "It's unfortunate Joe Ralls is out because he has been one of our best players. He’s someone that I go to and ask for advice.
