LEADER SAYS CITY COUNCIL WILL SUPPORT PM'S AMBITIONS FOR NATIONAL RENEWAL
THE leader of Plymouth City Council has wasted no time in reaching out to the new Prime Minister and cabinet members, inviting them to work with the city to help them deliver their election promises.
At Monday’s council cabinet meeting, Cllr Tudor Evans congratulated the three local MPs and welcomed new PM Sir Keir Starmer.
Cllr Evans has written personally to the Prime Minister, inviting him to Plymouth as well as setting out the city’s ambition to establish an ongoing dialogue with the new Government.
In his letter, Cllr Evans urged the Prime Minister to work with the city council to address a number of social and structural challenges if the city is to fully reach its potential.
