Von der Leyen plane scare

AN aircraft carrying European Commission (EC) president Ursula Von der Leyen was hit by GPS jamming on Sunday over Bulgaria, in what was a suspected Russian operation, an EC spokesperson has said.

The plane landed safely in Plovdiv airport and Ms Von der Leyen is continuing her planned tour of European Union nations bordering Russia and Belarus, EC spokesperson Arianna Podesta said.
