Stupple retires as Clarke and Hillson leave the Brickfields

HERBIE Stupple has announced his retirement from rugby union, bringing an end his long association with Plymouth Albion which saw him make in excess of 200 appearances for the club.

The announcement comes just days after his 35th birthday with the former Exeter Chief calling time on an extraordinary career to focus on family, work and life outside of rugby.
His rugby story includes England Under-19 honours, a Cornwall County Championship medal, over 200 appearances for Albion, and 12 Premiership caps. He captained the club for seven seasons, guiding squads through battles at both ends of the league table and remaining a constant presence through injury setbacks, squad rebuilds, and era-defining moments.
