Shane Richie is back for pantomime spectacular

EASTENDERS icon Shane Richie is set to be joined by a Plymouth pantomime favourite in this year's Christmas spectacle at Theatre Royal Plymouth.

Producer Crossroads Pantomimes has announced further casting for the upcoming production of Dick Whittington, which will launch in the city on Friday, December 12.

It will run until Saturday, January 10, 2026. Shane, who is best known for his role as Alfie Moon in the BBC soap, will be headlining the pantomime this year.

Shane will be joined by Plymouth panto favourite Samuel Holmes as the Spirit of Bow Bells, musical theatre stars Anne Smith as Queen Rat, Emily Beth Harrington, also returning to her hometown for the festive season, as Alice Fitzwarren and Kira McPherson as Kitty Cat, and panto dame Iain Stuart Robertson as Sarah, The Cook.

This year’s production will celebrate local talent, with two members of the company hailing from Plymouth. Samuel Holmes is returning for his third pantomime season at Theatre Royal Plymouth and will once again delight audiences with his trademark humour.
