Rooney was great for me insists Scarr

FORMER Plymouth Argyle defender Dan Scarr lifted the lid on Wayne Rooney's character amid criticism from successor Miron Muslic.
The Manchester United icon faced scrutiny from new boss Mus-lic as the Pilgrims sit on the verge of Championship relegation with two league games remaining.
Rooney who became Argyle manager last May endured a challenging spell throughout his 23-match tenure. His stint at Home Park concluded on New Year's Eve after managing only four league victories and losing on 13 occasions.
Muslic, 42, took over in January and has since secured eight wins and five draws in 22 games. But despite his efforts, Argyle who travel to Preston North End tomorrow knowing only a victory will do - remain at the bottom of the table and three points from safety with only two fixtures to go.
The former forward recently suggested that had he been in charge from the season's start, the team’s fortunes would be a lot different. And while many might be inclined to agree, Scarr, who signed for Argyle from Walsall, has come to Rooney’s defence despite his inferior record.
