Plymouth are no match for Paignton

PLYMOUTH missed a huge chance to close the gap on the Premier Division's top two when they were hammered by 120 runs at Paignton.

The two teams ahead of Plymouth going into round nine of 18 were leaders Bradninch & Kentisbeare and second-placed Paignton.

Had Plymouth won at Paignton they would have taken second place and moved within 10-11 points of Bradninch & Kentisbeare, who lost at home to Exeter.

Instead it is Paignton (140pts) who have closed the gap on Bradninch & Kentisbeare (148). Plymouth (123) have dropped down from second to fifth.
