Players call on supporters to stick by troubled Tavistock

TAVISTOCK striker Jack Crago has taken to social media to defend recent results and called on the people of the town to start backing their football team as it fights for survival at Southern League level.

Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Sporting Club Inkberrow was the Lambs' eighth in 11 league games this season and they sit one place above the foot of the table, three points adrift of safety.

Frustratingly, things had looked good for Tavi at Inkberrow after Bradley Williams' first goal for the club had given them a halftime lead, but Jack Tolley's double and a Noah Rubio strike condemned them to defeat.

These are tough times for Tavi - and their manager Stuart Henderson - as they battle to compete against teams far more resources, a more ideal location and far bigger budgets and there has been some unfair criticism of Henderson and the players. Hence the reason experienced frontman Crago has come out in defence of the club.
