Pepple's strike sinks in-form Peterborough

Bim Pepple has scored three goals in the last five games

Argyle extended their excellent run of recent away results by beating Peterborough United 1-0 at the Weston Homes Stadium.Bim Pepple scored the decisive goal in the 23rd minute and the only criticism of the Pilgrims from a game they dominated was they did not win by a wider margin given the amount of good chances they had.
Tom Cleverley's side have now won six of their last seven away matches in all competitions, and drew the other one 1-1 at Stevenage on New Year's Day.
They have picked up eight points from their last four games in League One to move up to 14th position and there is much more positivity around the club than there was during a very difficult period in late October and early November.
Ronan Curtis made his league debut for Argyle against Peterborough after coming up with three assists in his first game for his new club in the 4-3 Vertu Trophy win away to Bristol Rovers last Tuesday.
There were four changes to the Pilgrims' starting lineup from the round of 16 tie at the Memorial Stadium, with Conor Hazard, Brendan Galloway, Joe Ralls and Pepple all coming into the side.
They replaced Luca Ashby-Hammond, Xavier Amaechi, Caleb Watts and Brendan Wiredu, who all dropped down to the substitutes' bench.
With Hazard back between the posts for Argyle, Galloway played at left-back with Matty Sorinola forward into the midfield quartet, which also included Ralls, and Pepple led the attack with 15-goal top scorer Lorent Tolaj.
Peterborough were unchanged from their 3-1 home league win against Bolton Wanderers, which continued their excellent run of results since Luke Williams was appointed as manager at the end of October and had moved them up to 10th in the table.
