Peckish party crowd lose appetite for eaterie

The all-night Perillas Fish & Grill outlet on North Hill is shut, and the company running it has gone bust.

The chippy opened in the summer of 2021 in the Sherwell Arcade unit opposite the university previously occupied by night spot Play.

In 2022, its frying hours were extended to 6.30am, meaning it began serving daily at 11.30am and stayed open all night.

Now the chip shop has shut and the company set up to run it, Perillas North Hill Ltd, appointed liquidators on Friday, March 24. The same day, a resolution was passed that the company be wound up.

Another, separate, Perillas chip shop, just off Mutley Plain, is continuing to trade. Staff there said the outlet was "still going strong".
