Parking warning to Blue Badge holders

BLUE badge holders have been given a stark warning about parking on yellow lines as they could be violating certain regulations.

Experts have warned that drivers must never assume their badges allow them to park wherever they wish.

While the badges generally allow people with certain disabilities or medical conditions to park on double yellow lines or in car parks free of charge, this will not always be the case. Some areas may have specific rules about blue badge use, so without taking proper care, drivers could end up with a penalty, even if they had no idea they were breaking any regulations.
