Parents lament closure news from party firm

MUSIC MAKERS HAS BEEN MAKING CHILDREN SMILE FOR 17 YEARS

A PLYMOUTH business which has been enlivening children's parties with superheroes and princesses has announced its closure.

Music Makers has been operating in the city for more than 17 years. Katy Way, who runs the local children's entertainment company, has confirmed her business is due close in the next five months.

In an emotional announcement, Katy said there would be a final 'extravaganza' party during October half-term so there could be a proper goodbye. Parties will continue to go ahead as normal until then.

Despite the closure of Music Makers, Katy will continue to be a care home entertainer, and none of her existing care home bookings are affected by the announcement.

Katy said: "It is with heavy heart that I let you all know that I will be finishing my princess and superhero parties at the end of October 2023. This has been an emotional decision for me but the time is right for me. I have had the most magical 17 years of entertaining your children.
