A SELFLESS mother of two died after stumbling off a tall bar stool and hitting her head on a marble fireplace, an inquest has heard.
Kadie Hunt suffered a fatal injury to her head, but an inquest heard she donated her organs so others could survive.
Kadie, who was born in Plymouth and lived in Sparkwell, had spent the afternoon at the boutique Welbeck Manor and Golf Hotel at Sparkwell, drinking with her cousin and friends.
The 38-year-old, who was a regular visitor to the hotel, was seen on CCTV drinking three pints of lager, a double gin and tonic and four glasses of wine during the afternoon, on April 13, 2024.
An inquest at Exeter Coroner's Court heard that a member of staff had her back turned when she heard a crash and said Kadie had fallen off the stool and landed on her side.
The coroner was told Kadie refused any help to get up off the floor and seemed a bit embarrassed. She did not appear to be hurt and ‘just brushed it off.
A friend took her home in Sparkwell village, and she appeared to be fine.

Older drivers tend to be the safest on the road
REGARDING recent newspaper reports about compulsory eye tests for the over-70s, as we have to renew our licences every three years anyway, I really cannot see that this will be a problem for most people of that age.

THOUGHT OF THE DAY
Although I am well aware that social media is largely an echo chamber that will feed back to you what you search for, there are no shortage of videos and articles about fashionable dressing for men, while vintage clothing is no longer merely bagged up and donated to charity shops but can yield high prices on re-sale sites such as eBay and Vinted.
