HE'S RAISING MONEY FOR CANCER RESEARCH

- By HERALD REPORTER

A 10-year-old boy from Plympton is stepping up his mission to help people living with cancer - by walking laps through the night, baking cakes and even selling his own toys.

Leo, who lives on Neal Close and attends Yealmpstone Farm Primary School, has already raised over £200 in just one day and shows no signs of slowing down.

Inspired by his stepdad’s wacky stunts for charity - including pouring raw fish, flour and milk over his head - Leo is aiming to raise at least £500 for Cancer Research UK.

The idea began simply: “I want to help children and adults in need of treatment,” Leo said.

His first foray into fundraising involved going door to door, politely introducing himself and asking for sponsorship. “I felt a bit nervous,” he admitted, “but people said I was thoughtful and polite.”
