It's time to talk our great city up - not down!

YOU would expect local Conservative councillors and the local press to welcome the news of a partnership between Plymouth City Council and Homes England to build up to 12,000 homes across the city over the next 15 years to be seen as good news, but instead May 3rd’s Herald has “Ghetto” headlines on the front page, and an opinion piece from the paper about the lack of transparency for a working agreement that has just been signed.

With over 7,000 on housing lists, and thousands more seeking private rentals in a market where rents have exploded over the past couple of years, how can anyone not see a new partnership with Homes England the Government's agency for regeneration and homes as anything other than absolutely fantastic news?
