BREWHOUSE TURNED INTO COLLECTION OF UNITS FOR SHOPS

Independent shops get new 'Arcade' in RWY

A NEW home for Plymouth's independent shops has opened at the Royal William Yard.

Arcade is a collection of six units under one roof for popups, seasonal businesses and small independents.

Set within the Grade I listed Brewhouse building and facing onto the marina, bosses say it will bring a new type of shopping experience to the popular landmark.

Each of the six spaces is designed to work as flexible monthly popups, longer-term premises, and anything in between making them a blank canvas for independent retailers, makers, and brands.

Arcade's very first tenant is Nala's Pet Co, which will open on August 3 alongside a selection of popup stalls.

The Grade I listed site has been reimagined by Urban Splash over the last two decades, transforming it from a derelict site into a vibrant destination.
