AS someone who loves this city and enjoys much of what our cultural scene has to offer, I am thrilled to see that Plymouth has officially thrown its hat into the ring for the UK City of Culture 2029.
For too long we have been “the best kept secret” of the South West. We have a world class gallery in The Box, a theatrical powerhouse in the Theatre Royal, and a thriving amateur theatrical scene.
