Hallett can't stay away from following his team

JUST like the rest of the Green Army, Plymouth Argyle owner and chairman Simon Hallett is excited about the conclusion of the League One season and the team's play-off chances.

The United States-based businessman returned to the UK in time for the 0-0 draw with Sunderland at Home Park on Easter Monday.

Hallett will now remain in the country for the final two league games of the regular season, and any play-off matches too.

Argyle manager Steven Schumacher has given his insight into how passionate Hallett is about the club and revealed that he will be travelling on the team coach for the away game against table-topping Wigan Athletic tomorrow.

Schumacher said: "He's a fan, first and foremost, so he's getting really excited like everybody else is.

"He Facetimed me the other day. He gave me a text message and said 'Do you fancy having call just for a catch up?' I had a good chat with him for half an hour or so, talking about everything really.

"He said that no matter what happens we have had a brilliant season and everyone is proud of how it has gone.

“He's going to travel with us at the weekend and come to Wigan. He's passionate about it and he knows that everybody does their best to try and get this football club to where he wants it to go."

It will give Hallett an opportunity to spend time with Schumacher and his support staff in the team hotel this evening.
