Flooding which shut road is a regular thing’
The Herald
|November 28, 2022
RESIDENTS on Wolseley Road said that flooding which left the road closed on Saturday evening ‘always happens’ and suggested that it is a problem which could and should have been remedied by now.
Heavy rain across the region on Saturday led to localised flooding, with a large section of Wolseley Road left under water near to the branch of KFC in St Budeaux. One resident told The Herald that flooding on the main road has become a regular occurrence due to “leaves blocking the drains”.
The road had to be closed with heavy flooding that also left sections of the footpath under water.
A driver said they drove through the flood on Saturday at around 6pm and described it as being like a “river” due to the depth of water.
