'Ferocious' 80mph gales are on the way

THE South West has been warned to prepare for ferocious 80mph gales set to batter the region this weekend.
The Met Office has issued a 22-hour weather warning, from 8pm on Sunday, September 14 to 6pm on Monday, September 15, with widespread disruption anticipated across the region.
Coastal communities will bear the brunt of the savage winds, with gusts likely to reach 60mph.
Wind speeds could peak at 80mph in the exposed areas, creating large ‘waves and potentially causing structural damage to properties.
