Countdown to switch on of Christmas lights

THE countdown to Christmas in Plymouth will kick off with the switch-on of the city's lights - and it's just a couple of weeks away.

Thousands are expected to descend on the city centre for an evening of festive fun.

The man in red himself, Father Christmas, has already confirmed his attendance, along with Plymouth's Lord Mayor and a host of other special guests.

And there will be Christmas tunes galore to get everyone in the mood for another very special Yuletide.
