Cleverley expects support despite a new low

PRESSURE GROWS ON ARGYLE BOSS AFTER ANOTHER WOEFUL DISPLAY
TOM Cleverley is expecting to continue getting the support of Simon Hallett and the Plymouth Argyle board of directors despite the Pilgrims' League One struggles.
The 36-year-old, appointed as head coach in the summer, is coming in for fierce criticism from the Green Army, with repeated chants of 'getting sacked in the morning' during the Pilgrims' 3-0 defeat by Northampton Town at Home Park.
Argyle are in 23rd position after losing 11 of their 17 league games this term and Cleverley is acutely aware of the frustration among the fans, who saw their side relegated from the Championship last season and now look to be facing another fight for survival.
He said: "No-one will shoulder that more than me and I have to accept that. It's a real tough period for the club, for the supporters.
"Incredible numbers today, incredible support, I understand their frustrations, when the scoreline starts going against us I have to accept that.
"There was absolutely nothing in me not applauding them (after the game) today. I thought me going round would have added fuel to the fire. Nothing but appreciation and I accept the frustrations."
Cleverley added: "I'm emotionally low. On the scale, pretty near as low as I have been in my football career but I enjoy the responsibility of being the person that can do something about it.
