City nursery lauded by Ofsted

THE CABIN AT TAMAR VIEW IS PRAISED BY INSPECTORS

A “POSITIVE and welcoming atmosphere” where children “feel happy and safe” has earned The Cabin at Tamar View in Plymouth a ‘Good’ rating across the board in its latest Ofsted inspection.

Located within the Tamar View Community Resource Centre on Miers Close, the early years setting currently has 61 children on roll, aged between two and four.

Inspectors praised the strong relationships children have with staff, noting that “children enter the nursery with enthusiasm and merrily greet staff members, who welcome them with a friendly cheer.”

The nursery's curriculum was deemed effective, with staff supporting both independence and teamwork. Inspectors observed children enjoying the role of ‘special helper’ ringing a handbell and encouraging others to tidy up, followed by a group singalong.
