Burton bursting with pride after leading Plymouth College to victory

PLYMOUTH College Under-15s captain, Riley Burton, was bursting with pride after leading his team to a fine victory in the final of a prestigious national rugby competition.

Plymouth secured a 36-10 victory over Wymondham College in the RFU Continental Tyres Schools U15s Bowl at Trailfinders Sports Ground in west London.

After conceding two tries in the opening exchanges of the showpiece, Plymouth scored 36 unanswered points to power past Wymondham, with the No.8 at the heart of the action, recording a hat-trick to help deliver his school their first-ever national rugby trophy.

Though their performance owed much to Burton's heroics, the 15-year-old - who counts England international Ben Earl as one of his sporting idols - insists Plymouth’s triumph owed to a complete team display.
