Boots apologises for problems at new pharmacy

The pharmacy opened in March to replace the existing on-site facility, which could no longer cope with the number of patients waiting for prescriptions, but the new pharmacy and Boots store, located next to the hospital’s Bircham Park multi-storey car park, has been beset by medicine supply problems and “critical IT failures” since it opened.

The pharmacy has thanked customers for their patience, as well as clarifying the rules around where prescriptions can be collected by patients.

A spokesman said: “Thank you all for your support in the launch of our new Boots Outpatient Pharmacy service. We recognise there have been some teething issues using the new service with Boots and want to thank you for your patience whilst we work through these.
