Man jailed for stabbing neighbour and shooting officer with crossbow

A man has been jailed for stabbing a neighbour and "hunting" a police officer before shooting him with a crossbow.
Jason King stabbed Alistair Mah-wuto with a small knife during an altercation resulting from a long-standing dispute, Aylesbury crown court heard yesterday.
Police were called to the scene in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, where King shot repeatedly at officers with a crossbow out of his upstairs window before chasing them and shooting an officer, the court heard.
The 55-year-old was later shot once by police in the stomach after refusing to put down the crossbow.
King was jailed for nine years with a further three years to be spent on extended licence after previously pleading guilty to unlawful wounding, possessing an article with a blade or point and an offensive weapon, wounding with intent, and affray regarding the incident in May 2024.
