A Mahmoud Khalil vowed to fight on despite the ‘disappointing’ ruling
A federal appeals court yesterday handed the Trump administration a victory in its efforts to deport a pro-Palestine activist.
A 2-1 panel of the Philadelphia-based third circuit court of appeals dismissed a lawsuit Mahmoud Khalil had filed against his detention. The panel said federal immigration law stripped jurisdiction from the lower court that had backed Khalil’s claims and had ordered his release.
