Strelec urged to get in box by Boro boss

David Strelec scores the first against Hull while, below, Morgan Whittaker has four in four games for Boro

Strelec bagged just his second Middlesbrough goal in Friday night's victory over Hull City, in what was his first start under the new head coach.

On arrival, Hellberg had revealed that he'd already studied all of Boro’s strikers by watching all of their goals from the past four seasons to get a good idea for their strengths and how to get the best out of them - with goals not coming easy for any of them so far this term.

Interestingly, Strelec has at times been deployed as a ten since joining Boro, with his ability to link play with his back to goal noted early on.
