Shanty Choir sailing in to honour sunken WWII Polish troop carrier

THE world's only sailing choir is setting sail for Hartlepool and will honour a Polish troop carrier sunk by German forces during the Second World War.

The Zawisza Czarny Male Voice Shanty Choir will provide a unique musical event in Hartlepool later this month when it arrives for a special one-night performance.
The choir, travelling all the way from Gdynia in Poland, will dock at Hartlepool Marina on Monday before taking to the stage at the Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre that evening.
