Nurse mum launches luxury childrenswear business

Carlita Pounder launched Cherub Childrenswear just two weeks ago and has already shipped out scores of orders as far afield as America. The 30-year-old said she is shocked at how quickly news of her online business has spread and has even had to rope in family and friends to help with packing and shipping.

The Hartlepool nurse said when her own son, Rudi, two, was just a baby he had a mass of blond curls and people would say he looked like a cherub, which is where the inspiration for the name of her company came from.
