ON-SONG WHITTAKER FULL OF CONFIDENCE AS TWEAKS TO GAME PAY OFF

MORGAN Whittaker believes the key to his recent Middlesbrough form has been intricate changes he made, including his positioning, while he admits the power of confidence is clear.

Whittaker’s third goal in as many games secured victory for Boro in Kim Hellberg’s first game in charge on Saturday, against Whittaker’s former club in Derby County. It fired Boro back up to second place in the Championship table.

As well as being a third goal in as many games for Boro, it’s also his fifth goal in nine games with the former Plymouth Argyle man moving clear in the early Boro goalscor-ing charts for the season.
