Man is arrested after rooftop stand-off

POLICE negotiators attended a 12-hour 'man on roof' standoff at Hardwick shops.

The drama broke out around 9pm on Wednesday when officers gathered in Newham Road.
Multiple Cleveland Police vehicles attended the incident along with a Cleveland Fire Brigade crew.
The forecourt area in front of the flats and shops was cordoned off as specialist police negotiators and riot officers with shields were drafted in.
