A TEESSIDE couple have opened up about their devastating battle with infertility including the loss of a much-longed for baby.

Elizabeth Bailey and Nick Hall wanted to wait until they were financially stable before starting a family and were excited at beginning their parenthood journey three years ago after they got married.

But when they didn’t conceive, exhaustive tests showed there were issues on both sides.

Doctors confirmed that due to suffering from ulcerative colitis, Elizabeth was in perimenopause and Nick’s sperm count was low.
