Hellberg is a joy to play for – and he's making me better, admits Boro striker

MIDDLESBROUGH players have been 'blown away' by Kim Hellberg’s methods, according to Tommy Conway.

The new boss has enjoyed an excellent start at Boro, winning his first four games and completely transforming the style in the process.

There's been an obvious buy-in from the players since the Swede's arrival. But Conway says that's natural for any boss to get. The key has been in the detail of Hellberg’s work, with players reaping the benefits of Hellberg’s eye for detail.

Conway said: “When a new manager comes in, the side always buys into what they want to do. I think we did that under Rob, and then Rob left, and now Kim's come in, and we've bought in even more.

“Kim's establishing the style of play, everyone's bought into it, and everyone's on the same page and trying to win football matches to get Boro back where they belong.
