Daughter of late superbike rider pens second book

NINE-YEAR-OLD DAISY HOPES HER BOOKS WILL HELP OTHER GRIEVING CHILDREN
AN inspirational youngster who lost her dad in a superbike crash has penned her second book for children.
Professional motorbike racer Daley Mathison, died at the age of just 28 after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a tree in 2019.
His daughter Daisy, was just three at the time, and overwhelmed with her emotions. In 2024 she joined a new children’s group counselling programme at Teesside Hospice, where she found a safe space to explore her grief alongside other children.
The programme also provided a separate support group for parents, a lifeline for families navigating loss.
