Boro lacking a spark at Lightning

MIDDLESBROUGH Women's boss Joe Lillie admitted his disappointment as his side had to settle for a point away at second- bottom Loughborough Lightning.

Recent form had seen Boro's Women overcome a tough start to the season, and parting company with Mick Mulhern, to climb to fourth in the Northern Premier Division.

But struggling to create chances during their trip to East Midlands, Lillie conceded that his side were off their usual standards as they were forced to settle for a goalless draw.

Lillie said: “We're disappointed. We've set a standard this season that means we want more from these games and so we're disappointed we're only taking a point.
