Bereaved mum’s bid to help others facing loss

A BEREAVED mum who lost her first son is supporting others as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week, which runs from October 9-15.

Jade Butcher and her partner Jake Ealand, both 26, lost their first son, Wren Steven, two years ago when he was born at 22 weeks into the pregnancy.

Cleaner Jade, who lives in Grangetown’s Tennyson Close, said the loss is utterly heartbreaking and people don't realise just how many people are affected by baby loss - either with miscarriage early on, or by babies dying later in the pregnancy.
