DEATH ROW GRAN SEEN FOR FIRST TIME IN DECADE LEAVING BALI JAIL

FRAIL drug mule gran Lindsay Sandiford yesterday experienced freedom for the first time in a decade as she departed her hellish Bali prison in a wheelchair.

The 69-year-old pensioner handed the death penalty in 2013 for trafficking £1.6m of cocaine into Indonesia was released to commence the lengthy 8,000-mile journey home to Britain.

Images showed grey-haired Sandiford appearing dishevelled and donning a face mask after exiting Bali's infamous Kerobokan prison and preparing to board a flight home.

The Mirror disclosed Sandiford is scheduled to take her UK-funded £600 seat which was due to depart just after midnight Indonesian time.

She was scheduled to undertake a 20-hour voyage back to London Heathrow, with a brief layover.

She is reported to be “desperate” to return home to her family and obtain the medical treatment she requires after the UK Government secured her release.

A source revealed: “Doctors have assessed Lindsay and determined she's very unwell.
