NEW NEIGHBOURHOODS ARE TAKING SHAPE

AERIAL photographs show a landlord's new homes taking shape on three sites across Middlesbrough.

The developments, at Gresham, Brambles Farm and Grove Hill, are all being led by the Middlesbroughbased landlord, Thirteen.

In total there will be 546 new homes, ranging from apartments and bungalows to four-bedroom houses, and all of them have been made available for affordable rent.

Affordable rent is set at up to 80% of the local private market rent, with rates in Middlesbrough being among the lowest in the country, says the organisation. Here's a breakdown of the three big Middlesbrough developments:

Union Village, Gresham

The Union Village development has regenerated a site off Union Street in Gresham, bringing 145 new two, three and four-bedroom homes.
