To ease the travel rush this Undas season, the Cebu Provincial Government is rolling out a "Libreng Sakay" program for vulnerable passengers as part of its province-wide safety and mobility plan.
Governor Pamela Baricuatro announced that free rides will be available on October 30 and 31 for senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), pregnant women, and children who may be caught in long queues at the Cebu North and South Bus Terminals.
"Prepared na mi ana. Naa nay buses on-call. Akong giingnan gyud ang mga tawo nga dili unta maglisod, nga komportable sila samtang maghuwat," Baricuatro said in a press briefing on Wednesday, October 29.
Cebu North and South Bus Terminals Administrator Ahmed Cuizon said three buses and three coasters will be on standby to ferry qualified passengers and their escorts once queues become too long.
