|September 25, 2025
The Visayan Electric Company (VECO) has formally presented its expansion plan for the South Road Properties (SRP) distribution line to Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival, signaling a major infrastructure upgrade to meet the area's growing demand for electricity.
The presentation was made during a coordination meeting with active locators at the South Road Property Management Office (SPRMO), where VECO Design Department Manager Michael Gonzales detailed the phased implementation of the project.
According to the Cebu City Public Information Office, the expansion involves overhead lines and will be carried out in phases. Phase 1 will start in front of the Department of General Services (DGS) compound, extending from El Pardo toward Filinvest.
