THE GREAT FOOD DEBATE
The Freeman
|July 13, 2025
It was a normal school day, but it was Jason’s first time to have money to buy food for recess.
His mother would usually pack some biscuits for him, but he had eaten them when he got home from school the day before.
“Jason, what would you like to buy? Please hurry, the queue has gotten longer”, Ate Therese asked him. He couldn’t choose. Everything looked good, but he knew that not all the food there was healthy. Needing more time, he stepped aside to give way to the next customer.
That night, something magical happened inside the pantry of Magiting Elementary School. The food items came to life!
In the middle of the kitchen counter, a loud voice shouted, “Pay attention all of you!” It was Hotdog Billy. He was wearing a shiny red suit with mayonnaise and mustard stripes. Twirling her colorful skirt made of wrappers, Candy Shiela shouted, “We are the tastiest and the most fun! All the kids love us!”
