LOWEST IN THE INDUSTRY

A global ride-hailing platform has introduced a 5% commission rate for its partner drivers in Cebu, setting a new benchmark for the lowest platform fee among transport network companies currently operating in the Philippines.

California-based inDrive rolled out the preferential rate this month as part of its pilot program in the city. The reduced commission, which is significantly lower than the local industry standard of 15% to 25%, is expected to increase take-home earnings for drivers.

"The decision to implement a 5% commission rate is testament to our commitment to creating a more balanced ride-hailing ecosystem," said Mark Tolley, Regional Director for inDrive. "Although it is on a temporary basis, it allows our drivers to take home more from every trip, and passengers to continue enjoying fair, transparent pricing."
