Remedial classes to start May 13

Academic remedial classes in Central Visayas and the rest of the country start on May 13, a day after the national and local elections, the Department of Education said.

DepEd-7 regional director Salustiano Jimenez issued a memorandum containing the supplemental guidelines for the implementation of the summer academic remedial program set for May 13 to June 6, 2025.
However, the deployment of teachers will already take place on April 29 followed by an orientation on the 30th while an analysis of less-mastered skills take place from May 5-8, 2025 and orientation of parents takes place on May 9.
DepEd said that the 2025 Summer Programs are planned to harmonize with and reinforce the goals of the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program. It also said there is a need to offer a Summer Academic Remedial Program to ensure the continuous progress of a learner from one grade level to the next.
