Malacañang has declared a series of special nonworking holidays in October and November in recognition of significant local events.

Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Sept. 30 signed Proclamations 1045, 1046, 1047, 1048, 1049, 1050, and 1051 to allow communities to honor their unique cultural heritage and historical milestones.
Under Proclamation 1045, Oct. 9 is a special nonworking holiday in San Isidro, Surigao del Norte to mark the municipality's 66th founding anniversary.
