The addition of Desmond Bane from Memphis and Tyus jones from Phoenix could change the narrative for the Magic, providing shooting and playmaking. With the Boston Celtics and the Indian Pacers on the wrong trajectory, experts have given the New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers top billing in the Eastern Conference with the Magic coming third in the power rankings.
The Bane deal has a slight downside because Orlando lost two defensive guards, Cole Anthony and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
